Witch's Rave: Plot, Story and Narrative.

The next step in this project is to analyze and develop new ideas for the film opening while creating an outline for the overall scheme. Initially, I had many proposals, most of them connected to witchcraft. However, considering limitations in budget, time, resources, and team, I eliminated many of them from my vision. This left me with four ideas that were attainable within my available resources. I then asked myself, ‘Which one excites me the most? Will I stay passionate about it throughout the process?’ After much deliberation, I finally chose the idea that resonated with me the most.

So far, this is the only proposal that has truly captured my attention. While I have a few other ideas, none spark my interest as much as this one. I feel compelled to bring this vision to life.

Here’s a glimpse of my idea: Deep in the heart of the forest, the scent of smoke lingers in the air. A fire crackles, its glow casting flickering shadows. A few silhouettes linger by the fire. I already have a vision for the shots I’ll use, but I prefer not to write them down yet, as they may change over time. I want the atmosphere of the film opening to evoke a sense of creeping dread. The setting should be eerie and unsettling, drawing the viewer into a sinister, maybe even macabre world.

After looking into all the ideas I had, I decided to stick only with this one. Now, I have to make this idea more detailed so they can give me a clearer view of how I'll bring my story to life.

This is my final story. This is how I want things to be in the world I am about to create.

I want it to start with these three characters, witches, standing near the fire. Suddenly, the sound of a whispering shuffle is breaking the silence of the forest. Two of the characters disappear, only one remaining. As the sound gets closer, she starts crying. Suddenly, a figure appears behind her, it seems to be a man. He tries to speak to her and make sure she's ok. She stands up and looks at him, with blood at her mouth. His eyes widen, and he steps back.. but she smiles at him and suddenly grabs him. The screen goes dark and a loud scream can be heard, before the title of the film appears.

This is the idea that I would love to create, but changes may occur during the filming if some things are not possible or if some things don't turn out how they're supposed to.

There is something that it's strangely beautiful about the gothic, it's not just a style, it's a world full of darkness, everything having a meaning.

When thinking for a title, I didn't just choose it randomly. I thought and thought about the title until it just felt right. A title that screams tragedy and darkness, and that's exactly what I wanted. I wanted a title that has a meaning.

The love I have for the gothic, dark beauty, for that unsettling feeling, lured me into thinking of this name. It fits the story of my film opening perfectly, it reflects my love for the mystery, the dark, the gothic.

And that's how I chose the title "The feast of devoured souls".
