Rouge de Rage is a thriller film opening. At the beginning of creating the film opening, the viewers chose horror as the favorite film genre, and I did want to create a film opening based on this genre.. but after changing my idea again and again, I decided that thriller is the best genre for my new idea. So thriller is the genre of my final film opening.

A film that is a thriller is known for tension. It keeps the audience on edge and it creates confusion. And that's what I wanted to do. The opening of Rouge de Rage was built to pull the audience into a world of confusion and unease.

From the beginning of my film opening, I wanted to build a sense of confusion. I wanted the viewers to really think about the characters and their actions. To do this, I played with the conventions of a thriller: tension and suspense.

One way to create the atmosphere I wanted to create was through music. The jazz sound made everything appear almost peaceful, until a sudden short moment changes that. I wanted the audience to be misled, so when the sudden darker moment appeared on screen, the audience would feel confused. I also relied on editing short moments of uneasy scenes to reflect the uneasy mood.. What might seem a simple moment would suddenly be disrupted by short, uneasy details.

At the end of the film opening, I used classic conventions like the names of the actors, of the director and other relevant information, like the title of my film opening, but kept it simple and short.

The audience is given enough information to understand the events, and what is happening, but not the full reason behind the couple's actions. This might make the viewers start to question every moment shown on the screen.

Rouge de Rage both challenges and uses thriller conventions, creating the atmosphere I wanted it to create in unexpected and confusing ways. It allows the audience to experience a tension that mirrors the couple's experiences, leaving them curious and questioning.
