"How does your product engage with audiences and how would it be distributed as a real media text?"
Rouge de Rage attracts the audience through a slightly dark and mysterious atmosphere. From the first few lines, some people might feel something isn't right. The genre of my film is thriller, and I wanted to create a feeling of tension and confusion that grows slowly with the story. I want the audience to feel confused. The sound I decided to use, jazz music, also plays an essential role in my film opening. Everything might seem normal at first, but as the seconds pass, things change.. and I think this detail build curiosity.
This film opening can be slightly confusing, but that's intentional. In these two minutes, the audience might be confused at first. My idea gives the audience enough information to understand what's happening, but not to know why. That's what would keep the viewer engaged.
If Rouge de Rage were to be distributed, I would start with small steps. I would try submitting it into local film festivals, or film festivals for beginners. I would also promote it through social media, share clips and shorts teasers to attract an audience. And of course.. over time, I could release it on other platforms that support short films and film opening projects, but not big, famous platforms. Only platforms that support small projects like mine.
I think that through the confusion and slow tension, Rouge de Rage makes the audience wonder.
